Visibility for Women Artists in the Context of Art, Care, and Precarity
Many artists experience precarious working conditions: lack of pay, inflexible funding structures, insufficient childcare, and discrimination based on motherhood*. These hurdles make it difficult to establish a professional career and often require additional (self-)organization. Not everyone has the capacity to speak out about these issues, therefore, the fanzine provides a platform for visual and textual expression of care givers who work in the culture field.
As part of the opening of the exhibition “On the Horizon: Care”, on 15 November 2024 at GEDOK Galerie Stuttgart, we will launch the fanzine Mother* Tongue Summit.
The fanzine can be purchased upon request.
Number of copies: 250.
